DVS Donates to: Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts

Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts is a three day community-wide celebration of the arts.  It is the largest all-volunteer arts event in the nation.  It started back in 1970 with only two stages and a few food booths.  Since that time, it has grown to six performance stages highlighting singers, dancers, visual artists, thespians and various artists and performers from all over West Michigan.  Over half a million people attend Festival each year.  Renee Veach, Administrative Assistant was proud to present our donation to help further the Arts in West Michigan.

Beware Updating Firmware on Blu-ray Players

And you thought things were settling down with RECORDABLE Blu-ray discs and their "standardized" playback on Blu-ray players! 

This info is a little dated, but still applicable.  Beware updating the firmware on your Blu-ray player, it may just break your players ability to play Recordable Blu-ray discs.  Read the full thread on what happened with Samsungs firmware update as reported here in the CNET forum.

DVS Donates to: Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary

Mackenzies Animal Sanctuary, located in Lakes Odessa, Michigan, is the Mid West's largest sheltered no-kill sanctuary. They take in abused, abandoned and/or neglected dogs and care for them with love and compassion until loving homes can be found.  Aaron Coville, Duplication Manager for DSI, visited Mackenzie’s on February 24th and was honored to present a check to Diane Burda, Intake Advisor for the sanctuary.

DVS Gives Back to the Community

Since its inception in 1993, DVS has donated a portion of its profits to Christian non-profit organizations, in order to help further Christ's work in the world.  Starting in 2008 we've decided to take it yet a step further and donate an additional portion of profits to other NPO's as well.  Where the money goes and how it gets distributed will determined by our employees on a quarterly basis.  We look at this as just one more way we can give back to the community that has given so much to us!

DVS Lights Up LED Sign for Amway's Orlando Magic at Amway Arena

DVS has a connection to the Orlando Magic?  Indeed!  DVS has recently completed a project for Amway to be proudly displayed on the LED sign in the Amway Arena, home of the Orlando Magic.  Working from an original concept, the DVS Creative Team went to work to create a banner advertisement for the huge LED sign at the Amway Arena.

 

DVS is all about media.  Whether the need is creation, duplication, managing media assets or fulfillment, we will work with you at any level to solve whatever media requirements you might have.  Think you can stump us?  Go ahead and try!

DVS is involved in the community!

DVS has several personnel who are actively involved at different levels in our community.  We have representatives on the Board of Directors of AimWest, the American Marketing Association, and have members involved with the Festival of the Arts.  Recently. a member participated on a committee for the AdClub’s “Media and More Auction”, the proceeds of which benefited the AdClub and the ArtWorks Program at UICA.  DVS is also represented in the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce’s CEO Roundtable groups and, most recently, has membership on the MBT Task Force Committee associated with the Chamber’s 2008 Regional Policy Conference Directives.

 

We are committed to being involved in our community and working with other businesses and agencies in West Michigan to encourage growth in one of the most dynamic regions in the State of Michigan!
